EARTH HOUR 2019

WHAT?

A global movement set up by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF). Hundreds of millions of people around the planet take part in WWF’s Earth Hour every year. The world’s biggest landmarks such as Sydney Opera House, the Eiffel Tower, Buckingham Palace, and Edinburgh Castle all switch off lights as a visual display of their commitment too.

WHEN?

Saturday 30th March 2019 at 20:30 worldwide

HOW?

Turn off your lights for one hour that evening. If you're keen to go further, try turning off all your household electricity.

WHY?

To raise awareness about the sustainability issues that our world faces and to encourage action.
