Magnificent Ocean was founded in 2012 by Dr. Henry Evans, a British scientist, explorer and science communicator. Following his degree in Marine Biology at the University of Plymouth in the UK, he went on to complete his Masters degree in Climate Change Science at the University of Copenhagen, Denmark. He is a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society in the UK, and in summer 2022 completed a PhD in sustainability education.
Henry currently works in the Guest Learning Team for Hurtigruten Expeditions, the #1 sustainable expedition brand in the world. Read about his role here. |
In 2013, Henry was the selected candidate in a Royal Navy national selection process to form a 2-man team to ski to the South Pole. find out more
