Global Eco-Mission taking place at international schools in Germany in May 2018
Magnificent Ocean began its Global Eco-Mission in 2018 with a four-day visit to the British School of Yangon in Myanmar, working with every school year-group.
TESTIMONIAL 1 from Natasha Wildman, Year 1 Teacher at The British School Yangon

Henry came to our school and delivered an amazing school wide presentation to Years 1-6. The children were so engaged the whole time and really enjoyed learning new things about the planet. His manner with the children is excellent and age appropriate and the children all respond really well to his questioning.

He then did an hour-long workshop with the Year 1's around plastic pollution and waste on our planet. The children had many things to add to his presentation and they came up with many facts and interesting ideas together as a group. The children then had a chance to make an impact on the environment by writing letters to someone they think needs to know the things they learned. Many of the children who were reluctant writers found this very motivating and wrote some really nice pieces of writing. Thanks Henry!
Our Global Eco-Mission has since continued after the visit, with ongoing 'online' communication with various clubs at the school.

TESTIMONIAL 2 from Alessandra Giuliani,  Biodiversity Club at the British School Yangon (and researcher and lecturer at the School of Agricultural, Forest and Food Sciences, HAFL Switzerland)

Henry’s broad and deep knowledge and passion for Environmental Sciences and his ability to teach with enthusiasm to students of different ages (Year 2 to 6) has made his inputs (through personal visits and classes by Skype) to our Biodiversity Club precious moments that each time we were looking forward to. Henry has definitely enriched our club classes. Under his guidance and his examples, students learnt about the climate change impacts on plant and animal biodiversity from global, regional and local levels.  It was a great pleasure working with a professional with such high expertise and at the same time being careful, enthusiastic and open, and I do hope we will collaborate further in the future on different fronts.
